We’re back, and learning to take time out, together.
Right now, 1 in 2 Australian women are living with mental health issues, and 1 in 4 are experiencing severe mental health issues; levels persistent since 2022. Despite no two experiences being the same, we know that certain mental health problems can be more prevalent for women and that these can shift across stages of life.
The Women’s Wellness Lunch exists to better the mental health and wellbeing of women in our community. We can better support women in our homes, schools, workplaces and wider communities by recognising and responding to the signs of developing, worsening or crisis point mental health problems.
This event exists to create a space to talk openly and without judgement, reducing stigma around mental health challenges and foster a culture where vulnerability is seen as strength. When women feel safe to share, they feel less alone; they access support, build connection, and begin to heal.
The Women’s Wellness Lunch brings like-minded women together. It is the perfect opportunity to carve out some time for yourself, while meeting others who you can relate to.
We promise; this is time and space you won’t regret. Join us at this year’s Women’s Wellness Lunch, returning to the Newcastle Cruising Yacht Club on Friday, 22 May 2026.
There will be fundraising on the day. All proceeds raised support Lifeline Hunter’s local crisis and suicide prevention services.

A long lunch, or a lifeline?
Purchasing a ticket, donating a prize, sponsoring the event, making a donation or simply showing up with an open heart, our community helped us raise over $42,000 in support of Lifeline Hunter in 2025.
Incredibly, that brings our total fundraising to nearly $100,000 since our inaugural event in 2023.
That means more than 1,500 life-saving calls answered, more connection offered in crisis, and more hope in the hardest moments.
Will we see you in 2026?

We’re incredibly grateful to Oak Street Creative for donating their time and services to beautifully capture The Women’s Wellness Lunch in 2025.
